Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Land Compass ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Land Compass is a land intelligence, digital land passport, property portfolio and document management platform. It is not a government land registry, a title insurance provider, a legal authority, a court, a certification authority or a government verification agency. Information shown is provided by users and public sources and is offered on an "as is" basis.

2A. User responsibility and content

  • You are responsible for all content you upload, contribute or share through the Service.
  • You confirm that you own each document you upload, or that you have explicit permission from the rights-holder to upload it.
  • You confirm that information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • Land Compass does not certify ownership and does not guarantee legal title to any property.
  • You must independently verify information — including ownership, title, boundaries, encumbrances and registry status — before relying on it for any transaction.
  • Land Compass provides informational and analytical tools only and does not provide legal advice, surveying services or title certification.
  • False or misleading information may result in restrictions on your account, removal of content and, where applicable, reporting to authorities.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

4. Paid features

Certain features (e.g. unlocking additional ownership-chain views) require a one-time payment in Indian Rupees. Prices are shown at checkout and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Credits granted after a successful payment are non-transferable and have no cash value.

5. Acceptable use

You may not (a) misuse or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, (b) upload content you do not have the right to share, or (c) use the Service to harass, defame or violate the rights of others.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its design and code are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. User-submitted content remains owned by the user, who grants us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it within the Service.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the registered address of the operator shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
