Platform Disclaimer

Last updated: 10/8/2026

Land Compass is a land intelligence and digital passport platform. It is not a government land registry, title insurer, court, legal authority or government verification agency. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice or a guarantee of title.

Trust Score methodology

Trust Score is an informational indicator derived from the combination of: presence and category of uploaded documents, evidence source (owner, professional, broker), professional review outcomes, government-record matches where available, contributor consensus and dispute history.

It is not a legal certification, title clearance, ownership guarantee or government approval. Scores can move as new evidence is added or existing evidence is challenged.

Verification methodology

Verification workflows include: document upload by an authorised contributor, owner confirmation of third-party uploads, professional review by registered lawyers or surveyors, and (where supported) automated matching against published government records.

A "verification completed" status means a workflow has been executed against available evidence. It does not mean Land Compass has independently certified ownership or title.

Document matching methodology

Documents are categorised, extracted using AI and compared for internal consistency (names, parcel identifiers, dates, areas). Matches indicate that the documents on file are mutually consistent. They do not establish legal validity, authenticity or that the documents are the original instruments registered with the relevant authority.

Ownership intelligence limitations

Ownership chains are reconstructed from contributor-supplied records and, where available, public registry data. Gaps, off-platform transfers, undisclosed claims, family settlements and unrecorded inheritance events may not be reflected. Always commission an independent title search before relying on ownership chains for a transaction.

Government data limitations

Where Land Compass surfaces information from public government sources (Bhulekh, Bhunaksha and equivalents), that information may be delayed, incomplete, temporarily unavailable, mis-keyed at source or subsequently amended. Official records should be obtained directly from the relevant authority for any legal, financial or transactional purpose.

AI-generated insight limitations

Land Compass uses AI to extract data from documents, summarise risks, generate due-diligence narratives and answer questions. AI outputs can contain errors, omissions or hallucinations. Treat them as drafting aids, not as final opinions. Always have material decisions reviewed by a qualified human professional.

Terminology

To avoid implying legal certification, Land Compass uses phrases such as "Ownership Evidence Available", "Document Match Verified", "Verification Workflow Completed" and "Professional Review Completed" in place of terms like "Title Verified" or "Certified Owner".

Professional reviews

Reviews submitted by lawyers, surveyors and other experts on the platform reflect the professional opinion of the individual reviewer at a point in time, against the scope they accepted. Land Compass is not the provider of legal advice, surveying services or title certification, and is not a party to the engagement.

Reporting incorrect or fraudulent information

Every property page exposes options to report suspected fraud, ownership concerns, incorrect information or document mismatches. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and may result in evidence being suspended, scores being recomputed or accounts being restricted.
